Jack J. Defevers, 76, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at St. Joseph, London. He was born in Kettle Island, KY on July 2, 1939 a son of the late Clarence and Alice Barnett Defevers. Jack was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a Self-employed Truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Taylor Defevers and James Defevers. Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Carolyn Howard Defevers; children, Charles Lefevers and wife, Teresa; Jack Defevers, Jr., Esq. and wife, Alexandra Sale; Dr. Alison Lancaster and husband, Dr. William Lancaster; grandchildren, Krista, Nikki, Caleb, Marcus, Sam and Connor; several great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Juanita Price, Gertrude Smith and Ed Defevers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Dr. W. Boyd Bingham. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Defevers Family. Visitation
