Irene King, age 78, of Cumberland Gap, formerly of Wichita, KS, passed away September 14, 2008. She was a longtime member of University Friends Church in Wichita, LMU Arthritis Swim Club and an avid quilter. Preceded in death by husband, Billy King; parents, Everett Glenn and Theola Mae Davis; identical twin, Maurine Horsley; and daughter, Sharon Foltz.

Survivors, sons, Dennis (Linda) King & Tom (Amber) King, all of Wichita, KS; daughter, Peggy (Dr. Ray) Stowers, Harrogate, TN; brother, Philip Davis, Georgetown, TX; sister, Dorothy Mouck, Carson City, NV; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.

Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Reece Valley Chapel with Dr. Phil Hill officiating. A service will be held in 11:00 a.m. Saturday at University Friends Church in Wichita with Rev. Dave Kingray officiating. Music by Gary Foltz.
