Irene Harkins

Irene Mills Harkins, 73, of Hinkle, departed this life on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Oaktree Hospital in Corbin in the arms of her loved ones. She was born in Barbourville on June 6, 1939 a daughter of the late Willie Mills and Nanny Jones Smith. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tip Harkins, Jr.; grandson, James Miller; brothers and sisters, Arnold Hinkle, Elmer Hinkle, Tom Hinkle and Warren Hinkle. Survivors include her daughters, Gail Hinkle of Hinkle and Ann Bryant and husband, Avery of Barbourville; grandchildren, Shanna Hubbard and husband, Ronnie of Hinkle, Tip Miller of Elizabethtown; Michael Miller of Hinkle, Jennifer Hinkle of Hinkle and Casey Harkins of Barbourville; great-grandchildren, Angel and Andrea Hubbard, Lilly, Daniel and James Miller and Tiffany Harkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
