Ilene Hurst, 85 of Middlesboro, passed away on September 12, 2023 at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born in Middlesboro on May 1, 1938, a daughter of the late Ward and Mary Zella Wilder Robbins. Ilene had graduated from Bell County High School, was an outstanding seamstress who enjoyed fishing, and had been a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Inman Hurst; son, Inman Bryant Hurst; and siblings, Fred Robbins, Lois Hurst, Imogene Robbins, and Jimmy Robbins.
Ilene is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Broughton and husband, Terry; daughter-in-law, Marlene Hurst; grandchildren, Julie Ealy and husband, Scott, and Brittany Slusher and husband, Abraham; step-grandchildren, Arlena and Bobby Wilder and Lawanda Miracle; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Slusher, Bryan Ealy and wife, Alicia, and Bryanna Ealy; step-great-grandchildren, Evan Miracle, Chris Moyers, Joshua Brock, and Dennis Brock; great-great-grandchild, Seraya Ealy; step- great-great-grandchildren, Elijah Brock, Chevy Brock, Hunter Brock, and Kyle Brock; siblings, Kathleen Moore, Velma Hoskins and husband, Shelby, Judy Minor and husband, Jeff, and Bobby Robbins and wife, Dena; special friend, Randall Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Hurst Cemetery in Hutch with Rev. Preston Smith presiding. Music will be provided by the Ramsey Family. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
