Ibby Sylvesta Sutton

Ibby Sylvesta Sutton, age 100, of Knoxville, TN formerly of Claiborne County was born February 15, 1919 and passed away at her home September 23, 2019.

She was born in Lee County Virginia to the late Calvin and Polly Ann Ayers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Andrew Sutton, infant daughter, granddaughter; Kathy Kinningham, brothers; Lester, Carter and Otis, and sister; Rachel.

She is survived by her children; Curtis Sutton and wife Ollie, James Sutton and wife Peggy, and Evelyn Horn, grandchildren; Vicky Sutton, Curtis Sutton II, and wife Tonya, Timothy Sutton and wife Marie, Jimmy Sutton, Sherry Wollard, Ray Cheek and wife Diane, and Shayne Cheek, several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, sister; Mossie Ayers, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Brummitt officiating. Music will be provided by Buck Bailey.

Graveside services will be conducted 11AM Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Hill Cemetery.
