Hubert Hooker

Hubert Hooker 91 of Arjay passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Tri State Health & Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate, TN. Hubert was born in Blanche, KY on May 5, 1928 a son of the late Sandlin and Bertha Lawson Hooker. He believed in the Holiness faith. Hubert loved playing his guitar with his brothers and friends in a family band. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Gladys Warren Hooker, daughter, Brenda Collier, son, Bobby Hooker and brothers; Fred Hooker, Clayton Hooker, Herman Hooker and Carson Hooker. He is survived by his loving daughter and son in law, Cathy and Charles Green of Arjay, KY, special friend, Corine Warren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Services will be Friday, December 6 at 12:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Paul (Woody) Gilbert and Rev. Jeff Hatfield. Music will be provided by Teresa Banks and Bonnie Branham. Burial will follow in the Big Jim Cemetery in Arjay. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, December 6 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hooker Family.
