Hubert Lee Helton

Hubert Lee Helton, Sr., 70 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Mountain View Nursing Home. He was born on December 5, 1941 in Stoney Fork, Kentucky and was the son of Rema and Sarah Taylor Helton. Hubert had worked as a strip miner for Straight Creek Mining and a coal truck driver for Harry Philpot Trucking for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Baker Helton, step-son, James Adkins, brother and sisters, Herman Helton, Aline Sue Lefevers, Phyllis Brown, Mary Elizabeth Helton and Patsy Helton. Survivors include his children, Hubert Helton, Jr. and Tina St. John both of Barbourville, Rema William Helton of Williamsburg and Anita Aline Davidson of Owensboro, KY; brother, David Helton of Corbin; sister, Catherine Sizemore of Arjay; step-children, Scott, John and Michael Adkins; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends and neighbors of the Wilderness Trail Manor.
