Howard Edward Starcher, 69, of Speedwell, Tennessee paased away on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at his home after an extended illness. He was born on May 6, 1957 in Spencer, West Virginia and was the son of the late Okey Everett and Juanita Harris Starcher. Howard had been an over the road truck driver for England Furniture of New Tazewell, Tennessee. When Howard wasn't trucking, he loved achery and being out in the woods hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Hugh Cotrill; and nephew, Glen Miller.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Kathie "Jeannie" Thomas Starcher; sons, Jeremy McCumbers of Loch Haven Pennylvania and Jesse Sampson of Barbourville, Kentucky; grandsons, Skylar Sampson and Colin Dyke; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Leroy Starcher of Leroy, West Virginian and Bobby Joe Cotrill of Big Springs, Westvirginia; sisters, Wanda Bennett and Nina Jones both of Ripley, West Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Private cremation services are being cared for at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville.
Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate is honored to be serving the Starcher family.
