Houston Ulyss Lankford

Houston Ulyss Lankford, 37 of Fourmile, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Pineville. He was born on May 24, 1979 in Middlesboro, KY and was the son of Ulyss and Donna Sue Mills Lankford. Houston was a mason by trade, but was also an avid 'Mountain Man' and loved to go ginseng-ing. He was preceded in death by his son, Dakota Lankford , a niece, Carrie Sue McCullough, and an infant brother, Ulyss Lankford. In addition to his parents, Ulyss and Donna Sue Lankford, survivors also include his children, Kendra Lankford, Austin Lankford, Melissa Sue Lankford and Houston Lankford, Jr.; step-children, Isabella Sanchez, Savannah West and husband, Kenny, Alexis Sanchez and Cheyenne Sanchez; step-grandchildren, Trenton and Aaliyah West; sisters, Eunice Bailey and husband, Jeff, Shannon McCullough and husband, Red, and Heather Bailey and husband, Wayne; mother of his children, Candace Lankford; a special appreciation to his cousin, Steve Lankford and family and Mount Mary Missionary Baptist Church; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 26 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Isreal Douglas and Rev. Bruce Walzer, Burial will follow in the Lankford Cemetery at Fourmile. Pallbearers will be Kevin McCoy, Clifton Tuttle, Travis McCullough, Jake McCullough, B.J. Helton and Kenny West. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Lankford family.
