Homer Arsh Aaron Gibson

Homer Arsh Aaron Gibson, 41 of Arjay, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his home. He was born in Dawsonville, GA on January 11, 1981, the son of Glenda Goodie Sizemore and the late Aaron Gibson. He believed in the Holiness Church. Homer loved riding his 4-wheeler. Being "Unkie" to Kyra, Kaylee, and Keython. Spending time with friends and family and trying out a variety of different foods, especially White Castle and Summer Sausage. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Homer and Joanne Goodie of Keith, KY, Arsh and Lois Gibson of Evarts, KY, Fannie and Jack Sizemore of Arjay, KY; uncles, Frank Goodie, Elbert Blevins, Carlos Paz, James Sizemore, Arnold Sizemore, Grant Sizemore, David Gibson, Dennis Bargo and Bill Gibson; and aunts, Barbara Bargo, Eva Gibson, Elsie Hoskins and Jane Goodie. Homer is survived by his mother and dad, Glenda and Elmer Sizemore; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica Wells and Edwin C. Johnson of Corbin, KY; brother-in-law, Joshua Wells of London, KY; half-sister, Michelle Blanton and Jimmy of Coldiron, KY and their children, Joey and Ida; nieces and nephew, Kyra, Kaylee and Keython; aunts and uncles, Jean Blevins of Keith, KY, Elizabeth Kinder of Keith, KY, Chester and Susan Goodie of Cawood, KY, William Goodie of Dawsonville, GA, Charlie Goodie of Tazewell, TN, Judy and Michael Quirk of Bensenville, IL, Johnny and Sherri Goodie of Dawsonville, GA, Nancy Paz-Keller and David of Tazewell, TN, Rosemary White and Joe of Oak Park, IL, Geraldine and Johnny Bryant of Harlan, KY, Louise Waggoner, Dawn Wright Gibson, Dianna Kelly, and Marie Gibson. He is also survived by a host of the best cousins, friends that were like family and loved ones. Memorial Services will be at 6:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Shannon Harris presiding. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the family of Homer Gibson.
