Hilda Sue Tuttle, 75 of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at her home. She was born in Arjay on September 14, 1947, a daughter of the late Sam and Anna Doulen Tuttle. Hilda was a believer in the Christian Faith and had been a Maintenance Technician for the Bell County Health Department where she retired from in March of 2009. She enjoyed painting, ceramics, sewing, collecting rocks, tracing genealogy, planting flowers, and bird watching amongst many other things.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Murphy; brother, Robert Tuttle; and sisters, Geneva Gray and Margaret George.
Hilda is survived by her husband, Roy Holland of Pineville; children, Christina Taylor of Colorado; Michael and Regina Taylor of Gray, and Teri Lynn Tye of Middlesboro; grandchildren, Brittany Gray, Samantha and Joey Patterson, LeAnna Murphy, Justin Murphy, Logan Taylor, Jacob Partin, Ajiyah Hariston, Madalyn Taylor, Makayla Taylor, and Trinity Hariston; great-grandchildren, Sylar Gray, Lynkin “Fox” Gray, Brady Patterson, Remy Gray, Weston Allen Wier, Emily Patterson, Kennedy Patterson, Rinoa Gray, Jackson Taylor Wier, Rosalynn Partin, and Zoey Patterson; siblings, George and Glenda Tuttle, Bill and Gloria Tuttle, Jacqueline and Neil Fields, and Marshal “Pete” Patton; special nieces and nephews, Billie “Tone” Polyak, Breanna and Brandon Polyah, and Derek and Samantha Fields; special friend and cousin, Stella Garland; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the family for them to place a donation in memory of Hilda to Saint Jude’s Childrens Hospital. The family would like to encourage everyone to wear a mask during the visitation.
Burial will be at the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana.
