Hester Vaughn

Hester Lawson Vaughn, age 86, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Martha Meredith Lawson. Hester believed in the Pentecostal faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Vaughn; daughter, Lola Mae Carpenter; son, Jerry Wayne Vaughn; brothers, Jeff Lawson, George Lawson, and Rant Lawson; sisters, Mallie Taylor, Dora Lawson, Eliza Baker, Ella Jones, Virgie Hubbard, Fannie Smith, Lucy Gambrel and Bessie Jackson. Left to mourn her passing are her daughter, Ruby and Henry Smith of Arjay, three sons, Ernie and Sue Gray of Fort Wayne, IN., Jim Gray of Fort Wayne, IN., Lester and Jennifer Vaughn of Arjay, eleven grand children and 12 great-grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
