Herbert Basil Hatmaker, age 84, of Cumberland Gap, formerly of Lake City, TN and Roseville, MI, passed away January 10, 2008 at Claiborne County Hospital. Born June 6, 1923 in Lake City, TN a son of the late Frazier and Lema Hatmaker.

Member of Gap Creek Baptist Church and a Veteran of WW II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Sue Creekmore.

Funeral services 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel with Rev. Anthony Mountain, Rev. Clay Harrell, and Rev. Ralph Mundy officiating.

Music by Katie Chumley and the Gap Creek Quartet.

Graveside Monday 11:00 a.m. at Yoakum Cemetery.
