Henry Herman Ayers

Henry Herman Ayers, 67, of Harrogate, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at the Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on May 23, 1958 and was the son of the late Franklin Carter Ayers and Sarah Gladys Wilson Ayers. Herman attended Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, and worked in Maintenance, where he enjoyed working and just being outside.

In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by the love of his life, Vivian Drummonds; and his brother-in-law, John Sewell Denny.

Survivors include his sister, Redella Ayers, Cozetta Jones and Polly Denny; two dear friends, best buddies, last but not least, Rob Ayers and Michelle Laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Friday, December 5, at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Chris England officiating. A funeral procession will leave from the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 6. Graveside services will follow at the Adams Cemetery in Harrogate with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the Ayers family and friends.
