Helen Brock Roper

Helen Brock Roper, 70 of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital. She was born on November 18, 1949 and was a daughter of the late Sillis Babe and Hailey Collett Brock. Helen had been a Meter Maid for the City of Pineville for many years and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Eugene Roper; son Curtis Brock; and brothers, Harold Brock, Jimmy Brock and Orville Brock. Survivors include her children, Rhonda Roper of Harrogate, Tennessee and Steve Roper and wife Rhonda of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jordan Rogers, Thomas Jordan Brock, Joey Patterson, Jackie Patterson and Jessie Patterson; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Gary and Kathy Brock of Blanchester Ohio, Bonnie and Donnie Napier of Calvin Kentucky, Jackie Brock of Pineville, Vernon Brock of Pineville, Jewell and Estill Miller of Pineville, Donnie and Bonnie Brock of Pineville, Ricky and Rachel Brock of Pineville, Norma Gray of Barbourville Kentucky, Wanda Fuson and Marilyn and Jerry Allen of Pineville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Private cremation services for Helen were held at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville. Burial will be in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery alongside Eugene at a later date.
