Helen Howard Johnson

Helen Howard Johnson, 65 of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Hyden on March 7, 1959, a daughter of the late Dewey and Alma Helton Howard. Helen was a loving mom, wife, and person. She had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Johnson, Jr; brother, Dewey Howard, Jr. and sister, Clara Kay Gray.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Jimmy Johnson; granddaughter, Chloe Day; siblings, Sandy and Tommy Wilson and Larry and Elsa Howard; nieces and nephews, Mikayla Ellen Wilson, Timmy Howard, Pam Howard, China, Crystal and Deanna; uncles, Gary Brock and Larry Brock; special aunt, Sarah; special cousin, Dee Dee Bargo; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at the Hurst Cemetery in Blue Ridge with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
