Helen Slone Brittian

Helen Geneva Slone Brittian, 90, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Middlesboro Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Arjay on July 7, 1924, a daughter of the late Bill and Captola Ward Slone. She was a member of First Christian Church and had worked as a teller at First State Bank. She had also worked for Commonwealth Life Insurance. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Brittian; son, James C. Brittian, II and daughter, Jeannie Brittian. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janelle and Michael Hatfield; daughter-in-law, Sheila Brittian; grandchildren, Shane and Rhea Hatfield; Lora Brittian and fiance, Kevin Flatter; Kelly Brittian and Barrett Brittian; grandchildren, Gracyn and Jackson Hatfield and Gaige Love; brother, Earl Dean Slone and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Combs. Burial will follow the services.
