Helen Orr Baker, 78, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 1, 1936 a daughter of the late Homer Cunningham and Bertha Howard Orr. Helen was a member of the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 47 years, Clyde Baker. Survivors include her children, Raymond and Ginger Baker; Jerry and Kathy Baker, Elizabeth and Leland Stewart; Ralph and Teresa Baker; Carolyn and Darrell Riggs; Stanley and Helen Baker; Wanda Sprouse; Jeanette Collett and Pat Hoskins; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Myrtle Webb, Nina Mayes, Doug Orr and Darrell Orr; special niece, Jane Baker and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Bramble and Rev. Jon Hall. Burial will be in the Smith Hill Cemetery, Clear Creek with Bradley Baker, Darren Stewart, Buddy Baker, Brandon Tigue, Ryan Collett and Cody Hoskins serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George Pliagas and Harold Baker The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, which is honored to serve the Baker Family.
