Helen Asher

Helen Keller Brock Asher, 92, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Beverly, KY on October 14, 1922 a daughter of the late Floyd and Lucille Taylor Brock. She believed in the Baptist Faith and had worked as an LPN for the Pineville Community Hospital, Dr. Golden, Dr. Asher and in the surgical department and was a member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon L. Asher; sister and brothers, Ledford Asher, Ethel Reese, William Brock, Kit Brock, Phronia Lawson and David Brock. Survivors include her children, Lois Helen Carnes, Eldon Asher, Jr., Evelyn Lucille 'Jeanie' Stewart, Tommy L. Asher, Irene Asher Goodin, Amelia Joyce 'Midge' Asher and Norma Jean Saylor; fifteen grandchildren, thirty-three great- grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren; brother, Ben Brock; special niece and nephew, Bonnie Jean Brock and Benjamin Lawson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Howard. Music will be by Jessica Fuson and Katherine Woods. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Goodin, Robbie Landrum, Norman Landrum, E.B. Asher, Donny Brock, Glen Hobbs, Ron Gilley and Dr. Reagan Gilley. The family will receive friends from6 until 9 PM on Tuesday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Asher Family.
