Helen Allen, 89, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Tri-State Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Four Mile on May 20, 1927 a daughter of the late Emit 'Hank' Bryant and Lucy Rice Bryant. Helen, who was a lifelong resident of Bell County, was very faithful member and Sunday School Teacher at the Nazarene Church in Pineville. She had worked at Newberry's for over 45 years and for the Bell County Book Mobile for approximately 10 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Allen; three sons, Jerry Wayne Allen, Sidney Ray Allen and Robert Darrell Allen; brothers and sisters, Dobin Bryant, Thurman Bryant, Ray Bryant, Bonnie Rogers, Mary Allen and Edith 'Jib' Simpson. Survivors include her daughters, Glennis Jackson and husband, David; Gretchen Green; daughters-in-law, Glorianna Allen and Jeanette Allen; grandchildren, Tammy Mills, Donny Allen, Tracy Saylor, Beth Mills, Dusty Allen, Matt Carroll, Brandon Carroll, Jason Green, Chad Green and Andrew Jackson; fourteen Great-Grandchildren, three Great-Great-Grandchildren; sister, Barbara Burchell and husband, Nordie and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Gibbons. Burial will be on Thursday at 12 Noon at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Pallbearers will be Matt Carroll, Brandon Carroll, Jason Green, Chad Green, Dusty Allen, Donny Allen and Andrew Jackson. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Allen Family.
