Hazel Marie Woods

Hazel Marie Wilson Woods, 94, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Ages, KY on June 27, 1920 and was a daughter of the late Selby and Roxie Wilder Wilson. She was a mother and homemaker and was a member of East Pineville Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marcellus Woods, brothers; Floyd, Colson, Barnett and Wilburn Wilson, sisters; Joyce Knuckles and Ada Daniels; and daughter-in-law, Jane Woods. Survivors include her sons; John and Elizabeth Woods, Ralph Woods and Marcellus and Peggy Woods all of Pineville; grandchildren, Beverly Gilpin, William Bill Woods and Melissa Tveten, great-grandchildren; Cody Saylor, Madison Saylor, Blake Saylor, Claire Tveten, Parker Tveten and Lily Tveten; sister, Ruth Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11 AM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Ledger and Elder Steve Green. Music will be by Scott Whaley. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Woods, Cody Saylor, Blake Saylor, Jimmy Jones, Dennis Woods, Gary Woods, Walter Pete Knuckles and R. Leon Miracle. Special thanks to her Caregivers, Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum, Melinda Brock, Donna Clark and her former pastor and close friend of 25 years, Rev. Shelby Money.
