Hazel Swain, 61 of Pineville, Kentucky passed away in U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky on August 20, 2019. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on August 10, 1958 to the late Willie and Lula Caudill Swain. In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by brothers, Arthur Swain, Junior Swain, James Hobart (Buddy) Swain, and Kenneth Swain, sisters were May Wynn, Kelly Louise Slusher and Shelby Jean Slusher. Survivors include her siblings, Lee and Brennda Swain of Middlesboro, Ky, Martha Swain, Matilda Swain all of Middlesboro, Ky, Barbara Sue and Jerry Whiteaker of Arjay, Ky, Beatrice (Doodley) Swain, Pauline Swain, Jeanette Swain all of Straight Creek, Ky; Eight nieces, Five nephews and a host of cousins. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Sanders, Mr. Bill Bailey, and Rev. Eric Jordan. Music will be by the Mill Creek Baptist Church singers and Rev. Eric Jordan. Burial will be in the Farley Cemetery at Artemus. Pallbearers will be men of the Mill Creek Baptist Church and Family and Friends. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 P.M. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, Ky, and then on Saturday, August 24, at the Mill Creek Baptist Church from 6:00 P.M to 9:00 PM.
