Hatler Cook, age 86, of Cumberland Gap, TN, departed this earth for his heavenly home Dec. 11, 2011. He was born Feb. 6, 1925 in Whitesburg, KY. Member of Gap Creek Baptist Church. He was a marine serving his country during WW II and witnessed the flag being raised on Iwo Jima. Hatler was an animal lover, he owned many dogs and a cat. Preceded in death by parents, Hasadore and Nancy (Cornett) Cook; wife, Frances 'Jean' (Byrge) Cook; brothers, William, Ed, and John Cook; sisters, Stella May Campbell, Mary Elizabeth Tyree and Dixie Hale.

Leaving to mourn his passing, daughter, Yvonne Olinger; nephew, Dean (& Jean) Tyree, and other nephews; nieces, Mickey, Karen and Zookie Farmer, and other neices; sisters in law, Eva and Betty Cook; special friends, Monica and Terry Massingill, Amedisys home nurses, and Donna & the Harrogate Sr. Citizens.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.
