Harold "Whitey" Hoskins

Harold 'Whitey' Hoskins, 64, of Arjay, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born in Arjay on July 15, 1951 a son of Geneva Sanders Beeler and the late Gilford Hoskins. He had been a coal miner. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Eddie Hoskins, Dillard Hoskins, Carolyn Hoskins and Steve Hoskins. Survivors include his mother, Geneva Beeler; children, Amanda Hoskins, Lisa Hoskins Davenport, Kendall Hoskins, Kristi Widener and John Cinnamon; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, sisters, Connie Teser, Joyce Hendrickson, Wanda Merida and Jenny Lynn Roark, former wife and special friend, Linda Taylor; special nephews, Jake Taylor and Blake Elliott and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Polly, Rev. Larry Campbell and Rev. Jeremy Sanders. Music will be by Wilkie Wayne Saylor and the Church Singers. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery at Arjay with Jason Widener, Jake Taylor, Jim Hunley, Kendall Hoskins, Austin Brock, Sampson Bailey, Larry Baker, Steve Hoskins, Gary Sanders and Larry Beverly serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dean Knuckles, Lucky Holland, Johnny Merida and Arthur Sanders. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hoskins family.
