Grant Neal

Grant Neal, 79, of Stoney Fork went home to be with the lord, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born January 31, 1932 a son of the late Ledford and Margie Helton Neal. He had been a coalminer for 27 years and a carpenter for many more. He attended Rocky Point Holiness Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Henrietta Neal, Stoney Fork; granddaughter, JoAnn McKale Ulle , Fort Wayne, Indiana; two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Brittany, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bessie Lawson Neal, Stoney Fork; four children, Dora Jean Sumpter, Rita and Jim Taylor, Tim and Dorrie Neal all of Stoney Fork and Faye Neal of Dorton Branch; four grandchildren, Leslie, Teresa, Shawn and Josh; eleven great-grandchildren, Megan, Brandon, Calleb, Crystal, Michael, Christopher, Hannah, Amanda, Matthew, John Allen and Gracie; four brothers, Henry and Imogene Neal, Jimmy and Thelma Neal, Junior and Judy Neal and Elmer and Ella Neal; two sisters, Laura Jones and Matilda Neal and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
