Gracie Warren Gambrel

Gracie Warren Gambrel, 87 of Straight Creek passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Walker, KY on April 13, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Jim and Troy Wagner Warren. Gracie was a member of the Straight Creek Trinity Tabernacle and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Custer Gambrel, who she married on July 5, 1949; brothers, Norman Ellis Warren and James Warren and sister, Genira Smith. Survivors include her children, Shirley Reed of Spruce Pine, NC, Lonnie Gambrel and wife, Patricia of Cold Iron, KY and Larry Gambrel of Straight Creek; grandchildren, Trena Penley, Tammy Manning and Jimmy Garrett; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dora Boze of Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
