Gordon Greene

Gordon (Homer) Greene, 76 of Ingram, KY passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at his home. He was born June 19, 1943 in Calvin, KY to the late George David and Mary Jane Miracle Greene. Homer was a member at Calvary Baptist Church and was a Mason. Homer had worked as a Grounds-man for R. H. Boulingy Inc. and Davis H. Elliott Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by George Greene, Jr., Beulah Charles, Ethel Thompson, Abbie Carroll and Shelb Hembree. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones Greene; sons, Charles Ray (Debbie) Greene and James Lee (Jerri) Greene; daughter, Heather Michelle Helton-Cinnamon; grandchildren, Jamie (John) Saunders, William (Shannon) Greene, Jesse (Brittany) Greene, and Scott (Paige) Howard; great grandchildren, Hayden Saunders, Makenna Jones-Greene, Kayleigh, Greene, Kayson Greene, Brantley Greene, Kaylyn Greene, and Aubrey Greene; siblings, Barbara Sue Ballew and Irene Skeens; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 23 at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Brooks and Rev. Paul Wayne Goodin. Burial will follow in the Greene Family Cemetery in Ingram, KY. Pallbearers will be William Greene, Jesse Greene, Johnny (Red) Brooks, Dennis Ballew, Homer Greene, John Saunders, Hayden Saunders and Bill Hembree. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 22 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville which is honored to serve the Greene Family.
