Glenn R. Wright

Glenn Ray Wright, 81, of Stoney Fork, passed away in Hazard, Kentucky on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. He was born in Pax Branch, West Virginia on November 6, 1935 and was a son of the late Roy and Eula Cole Wright. Glenn had worked as a maintenance technician and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his son David Wright, brothers, Roger Wright and Gary Wright and a son-in law, Eric Zahnd. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Irene Caldwell Wright; children, Pam Wright, Susan Wright, Kathy Savage and husband, Ted, Linda Sue Whitehead and husband, Bobby Dale, Ada Zahnd and Randall Elliott and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Jeff Savage, Joshua Whitehead, Kimberly Whitehead, Dalton Elliott, Jacob Elliott, Evan Elliott, Anyah Zahnd, Lucas Elliott, Clayton Zahnd and Dylan Zahnd; great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Whitehead; brother, Bill Wright and wife, Janie; sister, Judy Bunch and husband, Tommy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Wilson. Music will be by Lona Wilson and Cleda Akers. Burial will be in the Caldwell-Brock Cemetery at Stoney Fork with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Wright family.
