Glenda Blevins

Glenda Lorraine Blevins, 57, of Hulen, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at home. She was born November 6, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan and was a daughter of the late Willis and Polly Jean Asher Blevins. Glenda was an 'honorary mother' to many and had worked as a caregiver and a cook. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Willis Clayton Blevins, Sr. Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Deborah B. (Clayton) Blevins, Linda (Rob) Roberts, Mary Blevins, Wilma (Michael) Barnette, Tim J. (Freesia) Blevins, Wanda (Jerry) Poteet, William (Melinda) Blevins, Jennifer (Doug) Caldwell, Paula Brock, Cynthia (Shane) Howard and a special sister, Peggy Barker; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel in Pineville. Cremation will follow at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville and private burial will be in the Asher Cemetery at Bowen's Creek at a later date.
