Glen Barry Evans Jr. was born in Fort Campbell, KY on August 26, 1970, to Phyllis Ann Garnett Bronson and biological father Glen Barry Evans Sr (raised by Doyle Stephen Simpson who he called dad). He gained his heavenly wings at his home in Eastman, WI on April 10, 2025, at 8:55 AM.
Barry was an avid fisherman; he loved nature and camping out in the wild away from all civilization. He loved the mountains and wanted to retire there someday. He was a quiet, gentle soul who stayed to himself mostly. He loved to cut up with his family and make them laugh when he was younger. Barry loved the Lord and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is proceeded in death by his dad, Doyle Stephen Simpson; his brother, Patrick Addison; maternal grandparents, Ray and Jewell Garnett; and his nephew, Andrew Emmett Moore.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Ann Garnett Bronson (husband John Bronson); biological father, Glen Barry Evans Sr; sister, Denese Evans; sister, Jennifer Logan (husband, Jackie), Sister Heather Anderson (husband Ricky), Sister Erin Moore (husband Allen); brother, Matthew Carter; sister, Aimee Harrison (husband, Derek); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with burial following at Red Hill Cemetery in Arjay, KY. Pallbearers will be Jacob Moore and Matthew Carter. Alternate pallbearer will be Allen Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be John Bronson.
