Gladys Wandafaye Middleton Jackson,89, of Pineville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Kenver, KY on May 24, 1924, a daughter of the late Robert and Cordie Asylinger Middleton. She was a member of Centennial Baptist Church. Gladys had worked in a sewing factory, had managed restaurants and worked with her family in the Jackson Mill and Mine Supplies Store. She also enjoyed gardening and farming. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She took great pride in being a homemaker and in raising her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Gillis Jackson; son Vernon Gillis Jackson; sons-in-law, Billy Douglas Fuson and Carl V. Lawson; sisters, May Peace and Amelia Perani and brothers, Bill Middleton, Arthur Middleton, Grover Middleton, Pearl Middleton and E.B. Middleton. Survivors include her daughters, Lillian Elizabeth Fuson and Judy Carolyn Lawson; daughter-in-law, Joann Henderson Jackson; grandchildren, George Robert and Sharon Fuson, Billy Anthony and Kim Fuson, Wendy Jo and Berlin West, Vernon Gillis and Joann Jackson, Jr., John Elmer and Nina Jackson, Carol Ann and Doug Anderson, Anthony Wayne Lawson and Lillian Hope and Joe Walker; nineteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren, special mention to Bobby Collins, Paul Gorman Siler and Randy Powers and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
