Gladys Hobbs Hopkins, 94, of Pineville, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Tri State Manor, Harrogate, TN. She was born at Blackmont on March 3, 1919 a daughter of the late Gale and Anna Pope Robbins. She had worked at Nabisco in Cincinnati as a Baker and Confectionary. Gladys was the founder of the Annual Gospel Singing on the Courthouse Square every September. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, George Hobbs, and Arthur Hopkins; brothers, James Robbins, Charles Robbins and William A. Robbins and sister, Lola Campbell and Juanita Miracle. Survivors include her son, Hobert Hobbs and Mickey, grandchildren, Jodeen and Jim Pifer and Hobert, Jr. and Kelly Hobbs, great-grandchildren, Justin Hobbs, James Hobbs Pifer and Jessica Hobbs Pifer, brother and sisters, Annette Lee Miracle, Theo Carver and Robert Robbins and sister-in-law, Cleta Robbins and a host of other relatives and friends.
