Gladys Gibson

Gladys Marie Gibson age 95 of Cumberland Gap was born Oct. 1, 1919 to the late John & Rosie Campbell Jackson and passed away April 29, 2015. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Pump Springs. She enjoyed cooking and baking for others. She was a past member of the Homemakers Club. She was lovingly known as the "hamburger lady" or the "snow cone lady" from all the years working at the stock barns and flea markets with her husband Mack.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Husband- Mack Gibson, Brothers& Sisters- Mary Rose Jackson, Pauline Jackson Briles, Curtis Jackson, George Jackson, Ernest Jackson, Pete Warner, Children- Wanda Lou Gibson Moss, John Douglas Gibson.

Survivors include: Sister- Hester Greene of Tazewell, Invalid Daughter- Hazel Maxiene Mills 6898 Hamilton-Middletown Rd. Rm 806, Middletown OH 45044, Grandchildren- Regina Willis of Morristown, TN, Selina Wagner of Cumberland Gap, TN, Brenda Mills of Cincinnati OH, Brad Mack Mills & wife Melissa of Cincinnati, Rosanne & husband Steve Champlin of Granville, OH, John Douglas Gibson II of Rosharon TX, Jacqueline Evans of Middlesboro, KY, Great-grandchildren- Sarah Mills, Lee Howard, Matt Howard, Amanda Willis, Starr Livingston, James Boring, Cpl. Theodore W. Wagner II. PFC. Christopher Champlin, Elizabeth Champlin, Douglas GibsonIII, Ashley Gibson, Chandler Combs, Great-great- grandchildren- Wes Lee Howard, Kalei Fisher, Trinity Wagner and a host of nieces and nephews all across the country.

Funeral Service 8 PM Friday May 1 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. John Gibbons officiating. Music provided by Bobbie Littrell. Visitation 6-8. Burial 10 AM Saturday at Harrogate Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Tri State Health & Rehabilitation Center for all the years of caring service and Dr. Lovie Stallworth and Suncrest Hospice.
