Gertrude Baker Phillips, 95, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Mount Healthy Christian Village, Cincinnati, OH. She was born in Artemus, KY on March 12, 1921 a daughter of the late Alex Dutch and Effie Maine Baker. She had worked as an assembly line leader for Staggner Food Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Phillips, children, Betty Jean Messer, Roger Philips, Frank Phillips, Fred Philips and Barney Philips; brothers and sisters, Thelma, Clarence, Elbert, Edward, Effie, Virgie, Mattie, Lois Jean, Arnold and James. Survivors include her children, Charles E. Phillips, Odell Darling, Donna Mahan, Larry Phillips, Barbara Phillips, Joan Phillips and Kathy Phillips; host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Joyce, Helen, Maybell and Art and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Pastor Barry Turner. Burial will be in the Gray Cemetery at Flat Lick. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Phillips Family.
