Geraldine Storms Hensley

Geraldine Storms Hensley, 91, of Corbin went to meet her Lord on April 29, 2020. She passed at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Arjay to McKinley and Verna Storms, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, William (Bill) Storms and Margie Cox, as well as her husband of fifty-six years, Homer Hensley. She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Hensley Braun (Larry), Mary A Forester (Jerry), and Roberta Leger (Gary). She was blessed with eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. As per her wishes, she will be laid to rest in a private ceremony, and her life will be celebrated with a public memorial at a later date. A lifelong practitioner of the Holiness faith, Geraldine was proud of her contributions to the war effort. She was a 'Rosie the Riveter' in a factory during WWII and married a decorated war veteran. She worked a variety of jobs during her lifetime as well as being the matriarch of her family. Her life was long, her passing was brief, and she is greatly missed.
