Geraldine Catron Dixon Coomer, 67, of Arjay, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Morristown, TN on September 26, 1948 a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy Davis Catron. She believed in the Baptist faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Gary Coomer and Damon Dixon, Sr., son, Damon Dean 'DD' Dixon, brother, Dennis Catron and his wife, Myrtle, stepson, Raymond Dixon, and two great-grandsons. Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn and Kennith Jackson and Kimberly and Paul Chavez; stepdaughters, Lisa Dixon and Karen Dixon; stepson, Mike Dixon; sister, Mary and Keith Collins; brothers, Danny and Shelly Catron and Jay and Lillian Catron; granddaughters, Donna and Randall Yoakam, Kendra and Henry Davis, Brooke Dixon, and Anthia Chavez; grandsons, Jason and Jessica Teague, Dustin and Courtney Dixon, Nick and Meloney Chavez, Paul Damon Chavez and Chris Chavez; one special great-granddaughter, Aaralyn Yoakam, a host of great-grand children, nieces, nephews, one that was like her child Danny Ray and Joana Catron, another special nephew, James Ray Rice, and many other relatives and friends...she loved every one of them. The family will host a memorial service on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 12:00 PM at the Saylor Pentecostal Church at Crockett with Rev. Gary Wagner. A private cremation service was held at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which was honored to have served the Dixon family.
