George Luther Cunningham

George Luther Cunningham, 79 of Harrogate, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Middlesboro ARH Hospital. He was born at home on September 3, 1946, and was the son of the late Denton and Rose Cunningham. George was a member of Little Creek Baptist Church, had worked as a carpenter and loved farming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Onalee Ellison and Imogene Burnett; and brothers, David Cunningham and Jack Allison.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Cunningham; children, Michael Cunningham and wife, Star, Wilma Daniels, and Jeffery Reynolds; grandchildren, William Sizemore and wife, Skyla, Jonathan Cunningham and girlfriend, Samantha Jones, Shawn Cunningham and wife, Raegan, James Partin and wife, Tiffany, and Michael Partin and wife, Kathrine; sisters, Mary Hill and husband, Donnie, and Lydia Scroggins; brother, Keith Cunningham and wife, Julie; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 17 at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Jackie Daniels and Rev. Shelby Fultz. Music will be provided by the Little Creek Singers. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 18 at the Cave Springs Cemetery in Tazewell. Pallbearers will be Brian Cunningham, Alex Cunningham, Michael Cunningham, James Partin, Michael Partin, Eugene Hill, Gary Hill and Jimmy Hill.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until funeral hour at 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the Cunningham family.
