George Alex Brooks, 66, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Physician's Regional Hospital in Knoxville. He was born in Pineville on November 14, 1951, a son of the late Charlie and Gertie Mae Webb Brooks. He was a member of Moss Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and had been a school bus driver for 19 years for the Bell County School System. He was a loving husband of 45 years and was the best father ever. He had a love of older model cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Lee Mason, niece, Krystal Dawn Brooks Chesney and brother-in-law, William Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Louise Hendricks Brooks; daughters, Charlotte Brooks (David Sprinkles) and Delana Lawson ( Allen Patterson); grandchildren, Kirstin Lawson, Chelsey Lawson, Scott Sprinkles and Gage Patterson; great-granddaughter, Kaleigh Nicole Baker; brother, James (Wilma) Brooks; sister, Clara Wilson; sister-in-law, Beverly Mason; he had many special friends including, Leon Miracle, Bill Suttles, Glen Helton and Wallace Hinds; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W. Terrell Gibson and Rev. Arthur Jackson. Burial will be in the Tadd Goodin Cemetery at Ingram. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Brooks Family.
