Geneva Slusher

Geneva Slusher, 83, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at the Middlesboro Health Care. Born in Harlan County, KY on September 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Amanda Hembree Jackson. She was a member of the East Jellico Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Slusher; grandsons, Hank Slusher and Ronnie Joe Davis and sister, Wilma Clark. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Cecil Slusher; children and their spouses, Darlene and Carl Dean, Kay Slusher, Ricky and Patty Slusher and Joy and David Terrell; grandchildren, Steve Dean, Matt Dean, Eric Sproles, Jason Sproles, Jane Davis, Joe Slusher, Daniel Slusher and Michelle Whicker; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Josie and Addison Grace Sproles, brothers and sisters, Harold Jackson, Dasil Jackson, Vernice Pagliola, Ina Lambert, Jerry Jackson, David Jackson, Jr. and Ronnie Jackson; special friends, Nannie and Mary Belle Goodin and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
