Gene M. Bishop

Gene M. Bishop, 62, of Pineville, passed away on Friday, January 30, 3015 at the St. Joseph Hospital, London. He was born in Pineville on March 14, 1952 a son of Andrew Wainwright 'Wayne' Bishop and the late Carolyn Terry Bishop. He was a member of West Pineville Baptist Church and had worked for Kentucky Utilities as a Substation Technician. Gene served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Gloria Branham Bishop; daughters, Jamie Lewis and husband, Greg and Sarah Caldwell; grandchildren, Madison King; Braxton Caldwell and Hayden Lewis, father, Wayne Bishop, brothers and their wives, Terry and Cathy Bishop and Keith and Patty Bishop and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 3:00 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Howard. Following Gene's wishes, he will be cremated following the services. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bishop family.
