Gary Wayne "Bean" Mason

Gary Wayne “Bean” Mason, 64 of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at his home. He was born at home in East Jellico Hollow on April 23, 1957, a son of the late Rufus Robert Mason and the late Edna Mae Mason. He had been a custodian at the Lone Jack Elementary School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lora Edmondson Mason; mother-in-law, Bertha Ellis Cox Caldwell; and niece, Tina Saylor. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie Sue Caldwell Mason; son, Christopher Wayne Mason and wife, Samantha; two loving grandsons that were his world, Hunter and Chase Mason; sisters, Eva and Tilmon Rice, and Amy and Tim Brown; brothers, Terry Mason and Scott Mason; nieces, Stephanie Mason, Jennifer Sizemore, and Alley Mason; nephews, Brian Rice and Bradley Mason; father-in-law, Sol Caldwell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Stella and Tony Wilder, Iva Brock, Ella and Steve North, Kale Caldwell, Junior Caldwell, and Wayne Caldwell; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at the East Jellico Baptist Church with Rev. David Rice and Rev. Paul Goodin presiding. Music will be provided by Vernie Edmondson. Burial will follow at the Mills Cemetery in Tinsley. Pallbearers will be Chris Mason, Michael Hoskins, Allen Hoskins, Randy Hembree, David Laws, Brian Brim, Bradley Mason, and Joe Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Wilder, Tilmon Rice, Terry Mason and Scott Mason. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until the funeral hour at the East Jellico Baptist Church.
