Gary D. Howard

Gary D. Howard, 60, of Lebanon, OH, formerly of Stoney Fork, KY passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1953 in Hazard, KY to Katherine Southard Howard and the late Raymond Howard. His greatest achievement was being a father to Ashley and Chelsea Howard. He was a 1976 graduate of Cumberland College. In 1977, Gary began working in Cincinnati for Ryan Homes. His career in sales and marketing spanned 35 years, during which Gary worked for several of the top new home builders in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Survivors include his mother, Katherine Howard of Stoney Fork, KY., daughters, Ashley and Chelsea Howard, of Lebanon, OH, wife of 24 years, Deborah Sweeney, of Lebanon, OH, brothers, Wayne Howard of Maryville, TN and Kenny Howard of Stoney, Fork, KY, sister Betty Newman of Dothan, AL, grandson, Luke and several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Couch, Harve Couch, Tim Howard, Chuck Newman, Nick Jones, Mike Brock and Tommy Johnson. The Family asks, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Arnett & Steele Funeral Home (106 S. Cherry St., Pineville, KY 40977) to assist with funeral expenses.
