Garry Lynn Leger, born June 15, 1947 in Pineville, Kentucky went to his heavenly home on August 29, 2021. As an educator for the Bell County School System, Garry had a tremendous impact on the residents of this area. He was a strong believer of the Baptist Faith and spent many years of his life providing music and direction to multiple choirs and churches. He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Juanita Leger; brother, Stephen Leger; and a very special aunt, Charlie Jean Lambdin whom he adored. Garry was a beloved husband, father and grandfather passing on his legacy to many generations. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Hensley Leger; his three sons, Derrick and Angie Leger, Jamin Leger and Richard (Anthony) Leger-Walker. Garry also left behind grandchildren including, Emily Leger, Megan Leger, Sarah Leger, Breawna (Perry) Saylor, and Joshua Leger; and a host of other relatives. The family would like to send a special thank you to the outstanding services provided by Dr. John Robertson and his staff at Family Medical Clinic, Amedisys Home Health and Suncrest Hospice Care. Honorary pallbearers include Steven Cain, Anthony Hensley, Johnathan Forester, Roger Boatright, Tom Combs, Rick Nelson, Darrell Lowe, and Mitchell Nunn. A private memorial and graveside service has been planned for the family at the home of Garry Leger. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to serve the Leger Family.
