June 18, 1949 — April 12, 2024

Garrett Benny Partin, 74 of Pineville passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at his home with his Bible by his side. He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on June 18, 1949, a son of the late Sylvester and Elizabeth Gibson Partin. He had been a carpenter and did masonry. Through his early life he loved going to church, pressing on no matter how he felt. He loved to keep people smiling with his jokes. His family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were his world and that kept him going. He will live on in our hearts until we meet again.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Grubbs Partin; son, Garrett Talmage Partin, Jr.; brother, Sylvester Junior Partin; sisters, Elsie Partin Farmer Partin and Verda Evelyn Fisher; infant grandson, Michea Dewayne; and niece, Clera Jean Stolzenburg.

Garrett is survived by his wife of seven years, Sherry Lynn Partin; daughter, Mary Ann Miller and husband, George; step-daughters, Angela Napier and husband, Benjamin and Rebecca Ridener and husband, Joey; step-son, Stacey Lynn Taylor; grandchildren, Elizabeth Louise Miracle, George Edward Daniel and Wife Katelynn Barnett Miller; step-grandchildren, Taylor Marie and John Robert Napier, Raiden and Joshua Ridener; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Levi, Anne Belle and Gabriel Miller, and Ayden, Leigha and Brian Lacombe; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends. He also left behind two precious dear friends, Carl Jordon and Larry Beverly, that he always loved to see.

Services will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Cary Pentecostal Church with Rev. Phillip Jackson and Rev. Greg Smith presiding. A burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery #2 in Bradfordtown. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday after 5:00 PM at the Cary Pentecostal Church.
