Fred E. Brown, 82, of Hulen, entered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at his home. He was born in Molus, KY on November 4, 1928, a son of the late Poe Brown and Nancy Saylor Brown Brummett. He was a beloved member of the Blackmont Baptist Church. He retired as a Tech Seargent after twenty years of service in the United States Air Force. After retirement, he worked for the Civil Service in the Panama Canal Zone. He was a beloved father and grandfather, a pillar of the community and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He had a giving heart and was always available to help anyone who needed assistance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Dewey Brummett, son, Rex Leon Brown and Carlos Brown and grandson, Jason Wearne. Survivors include his children, Nancy L. Wearne and husband, Tom of Healsburg, CA; Deborah Harrison of Hulen, KY; Judy Ellington of Cincinnati, OH and Steve Brown of Cincinnati, OH; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Evelyn Clark of Kansas City, MO, Gretchel Christian of Cincinnati, OH, Brenda Ebal of Cincinnati, OH, Darrell Brummett and Norwood, OH, Dane Brummett of Norwood, OH and Wayne Brummett of Kansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
