Franklin Junior Ward

Franklin Junior Ward, 61, of Arjay, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home. He was born in Pineville, on July 5, 1952 a son of the late John and Ellen York Ward. He was of Baptist faith, he was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and he had worked as a coal miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Douglas Ward. Survivors include his wife Dawn Ward; children, Michelle Ward Jones, Randy Coffee wife Tracy, Natalie Ward and Adam Miracle; grandchildren, Matthew, Trey, Jonah, Hunner, Dawson, Alexis, Cole and Mason; brother, David Ward and Theresa; sisters, Kathy Swanner and Mike, Linda Ward, Rose Ridgely and Merritt, Judy Sanders and Ott, Jacqueline Sizemore and Doug; special friends, Mary Taylor and Kristi Freeman, special in-laws, Connie and Greg Roach, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. And a special thank you to the men who prepared the cemetery... He loved them all. Services will be Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Wagner. Burial will be in the Ward Family Cemetery at Rella, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center , Pineville, which is honored to serve the Ward Family.
