Franklin Delano "The Ugly Man" Hall, 85 of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born in Kitts on October 17, 1940, a son of the late Charles Edward and Anna Lee Hogewood Hall. Franklin proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a believer in the Baptist faith and had been a member of the Wasioto Baptist Church. Franklin had been a Car Sales Manager.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, David Hall, Janice Alfrod, Elizabeth Moore, Lou Anna Stricklane, John W. Hall, Charles E. Hall, Raymond E. Hall, and James K. Hall.
Franklin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis Brock Hall; brothers-in-law, Darrell and Pat Brock and J.D. Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Lynn Miracle. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men of the Wasioto Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hall Family.
