Francis Engle

Francis Jean Carnes Engle, 68, of Straight Creek, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born March 5, 1940 in Knox County, KY the daughter of the late Arthur and Ellen Jackson Carnes. She retired from the Pineville Community Hospital Housekeeping department after 12 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Willie J. and James M. and two sisters, Mary Carnes and Rosetta Smith. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Donald Gene Engle, Sr.; children, Dejaun Carnes and husband, Jeff of Mackey Bend, Knox Co., Anna Carol Foster and husband, Ricky, Donald Engle, Jr. and wife, Becky Jane and Steven Russell Engle, all of Straight Creek, grandchildren, Lucas Carnes, Franklin Ricky Foster and Lavona Francis Desantis; great-grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Destiny Grace Lawson, Cheyenne Starr Carnes, Ethan Russell Lawson and Gabriel Engle; sister, Angie Gray, brother, Cannie Mills, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Elsie Marie Carnes and Beulah Carnes and a host relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
