Floyd Hunter

February 26, 1915 — July 12, 2010

Floyd Grant Hunter, 95 of Little Clear Creek, with a longing to go home to his Savior and his beloved wife of 66 years, Gertrude, left this life on July 12, 2010 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born on February 26, 1915 a son of the late Jacob Lafayette and Lydia Mason Hunter. Grant was a member of Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for 75 years, was a coal miner and worked for M.L. Taylor Paving for many years before retiring with the Kentucky Department of Highways in 1980. He was a respected citizen of Bell County. He was preceded in death by with loving wife, Gertrude Fuson Hunter, a great-grandchild, Tara Hunter and was the last survivor of all his siblings and their spouses. Survivors include his daughter, Marilyn and Arnold Fuson; sons, Bobby and Helen Hunter, Charles and Bertha Hunter and Jimmy and Teresa Hunter all of Little Clear Creek; grandchildren, Scott (Michele) Hunter, Charles ?Tiny? Hunter, Waylon (Jackie)Hunter, Mark (Teresa) Hunter, Keith Fuson, Jeanetta Gail (Clint) Goodin, Jill (Joe) Lefevers and Adam Hunter all of Pineville, Terrence (Beth) Hunter and Donnie (Carol) Hunter al of Defiance, OH; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
