Florence Evangeline Jones

Florence Evangeline Jones, 79 of Middlesboro, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Cancer Center in Hazard. She was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky on February 25, 1942, a daughter of the late Alford and Carrie Biggs Jones. She was of the Baptist Faith and had been a Home Health Aide. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jobie Jones; son, Barney Sampson; and sister, Doris Schoch. Survivors include her children, Joe and Tonya Jones, Rick and Frankie Sampson, Teresa and John Melanathy, Mike and Patty Jones, Mitch and Debbie Jones, and Johnny Jones; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother, John Pemberton and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Private cremation services were held at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the Jones Family.
